Que pense SMsl de cette affaire...?
It’s free because I do it for myself and share it with my friends. All download links lead to my personal cloud and to our Russian forum. I understand your suspicions and everyone decides for himself.
On April 20, we sent an SMSL support message with the following content:
"Hi, Kelly!
I am writing to you on behalf of the Russian community of SMSL DP3 users (link to the discussion, in Russian, starting from page 20 - https://forum.ixbt.com/topic.cgi?id=95:609-20 ) We found a big problem in your DP3 product. When playing wav and flac files (and all files encoded in PCM), part of the audio signal falls into the opposite channel with the inverted phase (on the Line, Phone and S / PDIF out's). In this case, there is a strong signal distortion in the main channel. In the attachment - WAV-file playback waveform, this is a sinusoidal signal of 1000 Hz, 0dB (100%), with the left channel muted (in the picture at the bottom). This is a software problem. Please contact the developers immediately and fix this problem. We have not yet published information about this problem in the world community. We are also ready to contact Hiby with your permission in order to solve this problem, since publishing this problem may damage HiBy's reputation.
With hope for a new firmware,
The Russian community of SMSL DP3 users. "
Unfortunately no answer.
In any case, if you are satisfied with the bugs that are in the original firmware, you can always return to it.
To check for the presence of this problem, you can generate in any audio editor a WAV-file with a sinusoid with 100% (0dB) amplitude in one channel and silence in another. Then play it on DP3 and listen with headphones (this is well audible). If you have an oscilloscope, you can see the problem on its screen.
