An update on win11 around the firewall ?
What are the ALSA and target versions ?

No recent firewall changes.
The host is on Windows with DirettaASIOdriver_1_104_1
The target (GentooPlayer) runs v 1048.
I just noticed that for some reason IPv6 was deactivated on the modem-r or ter, so I activated that.  Finge rs crossed...

No luck yet. When I restart both the host and target it looks fine: the target appears in Diretta's ASIO panel. However when I start play, especially 24/96 material, Diretta crashes and the target is lost.

In this setup everything works fine with HQPlayer's NAA via IPv6.

Do you have any optimizer like AudiophileOptimizer running on your W11 box ?

No optimizer SW. However not too long ago I changed some Windows settings as suggested by Merging when I tried a Merging Hapi DAC:

Well its not exactly a suggestion, more of a concern as AO3.0 disactivates IPv6 each and every time it is executed. I would not recommend it in connection with Diretta.

I have to admit that switching to Linux has been a relief for me on the server side as well

When I find the time I will also try with Linux and HQPlayer Embedded on the host.

You can try this (although not in connection with Diretta) just booting from an USB key with Jussi’s OS.
Patatorz and Le Dom might be able to guide you with trying other options like GentoPlayer on the server side…

Thanks! I already have a GentooPlayer NUC with HQPE and will try that first... Not giving up yet... 

Although above I did read about some problems with HQP and 24/96 files... And here these made the Diretta target crash imeediately.
