Petit résumé de mes tests:

Avec ces paramètres pour squeeze2upnp :

Dans roon, je peux écouter tout ce qui est en 24bits "natif".(ce n’est pas une question de fréquence d’échantillonnage avec les paramètres utilisés ici)

Mais ça ne fonctionne pas du tout sur tout ce qui est en 16bit "natif", même converti en 24bit par exemple en faisant -1dB par l’atténuation de volume qui transforme théoriquement tous les morceaux en 24bits après un calcul qui passe par du 64bits flottant (alors que ça fonctionne bien avec les 24bits natifs) ou bien en upsampling de 44,1kHz à 88,2kHz qui passe lui aussi par du 64bits flottant...

Sinon, pour écouter tous les types d’albums PCM, je les converti en DSD64 par upsampling roon, mais c’est moins bon que le PCM d’origine avec squeeze2upnp.

La question pour ce qui est la différence de comportement entre 16 et 24bits, n’y aurait-il pas une valeur de la profondeur de bits qui est prise sur le morceau d’origine sans tenir compte de ce que roon envoie. Et si c’est le cas, peut-être envisager une option qui converti tout en 24bits "proprement" ?

Bien sûr, j’ai conscience que c’est chez moi, sur mon système, qui n’est certainement pas universel.

Je ne sais pas ce qui se passe avec squeeze2diretta dans GentooPlayer mais c'est le bazar et je ne pense pas que le souci soit du côté de squeeze2diretta qui fonctionne très bien avec Audiolinux, fedora etc..

J'ai essayé squeeze2diretta sur GentooPlayer de mon côté et je rencontre exactement le même type de problème que la plupart d'entre vous.

Oui il faut faire git pull pour chaque mise à jour, sinon tu ne fais aucune mise à jour, tu restes sur la version précédente.

J’ai oublié de signaler que avec Gentooplayer (et roon uniquement? Je n’ai pas vérifié avec Lyrion music donc je ne sais pas), il y a un process squeezelite qui prend de la charge CPU. Est-ce normal ?

Oui c'est normal squeese2diretta utilise un squeezelite modifié.
Par contre je trouve ton CPU très chargé surtout par RoonAppliance.

C’est normal, roon venait juste d’être lancé. Le process commence par consommer de la CPU avant que ça ne diminue très nettement.

Bon, finalement, après avoir dèsinstallé DirettaRendererUPnP, squeeze2diretta et squeeze2upnp. Puis réinstallé squeeze2diretta seul, tout fonctionne normalement, 16bits, 24bits, DSD, aac, mp3, radios, Qobuz,...

Je n’utilise pas la transaction de fillipo pour lancer squeeze2diretta, j’ai paramétré le mode de lancement par ssh dans le fichier de configuration de squeeze2diretta:

nano /etc/conf.d/squeeze2diretta/

Paramètres minimums avec l’adresse du serveur host + le numéro du target Diretta à utiliser.

Ces paramètres sont utilisés chaque fois que je redémarre le service squeeze2diretta

Et bien non, finalement ça marche pas.

On peut commencer par écouter autant d’albums 16bits que l’on veut, puis écouter ensuite autant d’album 24bits que l’on veut, tout est OK jusque là, si on revient sur un album 16bits, plus aucun album 16bits natif ne fonctionne, alors que tous les 24bits natifs continuent à fonctionner.

Conclusion, je repasse à DirettaRendererUPnP et squeeze2upnp qui ont l’avantage de la souplesse (soit roon + squeeze2upnp ou bien JPlay)
