 I’ve added a new experimental feature called
uac2diretta
.
It also works with standard ALSA devices or alsasync, so it’s not limited to Diretta only.
You need to install
uac2diretta
to use it.
To make it work, you’ll need a suitable cable connected to the Raspberry Pi USB-C port.
In this setup, the Raspberry must be powered separately (for example via GPIO).
I personally use this one, it costs around €9:

is designed to turn a device (typically a Raspberry Pi) into a USB audio bridge.
 
The main use case is:
Receive audio from an external device via USB (UAC2) and forward it to a audio output (Diretta or ALSA).
 
Typical scenario
You connect a phone / tablet / via USB
The Raspberry Pi appears as a USB audio device (UAC2 gadget)
Audio is sent from the source device → to the Pi
uac2diretta captures that audio and:
sends it to a Diretta target
or outputs it via local ALSA/alsySync device (DAC)
