Any DAC chip digital filter and modulator is pretty much sub-optimal because due to the technical and price constraints. They are always compromise for price and related computing resources.

Also DACs running those on FPGA or similar have the smaller FPGA’s, not the biggest ones. And still the biggest ones cannot compete with combination of biggest modern CPU + GPU combinations in terms of processing power.
