Oui, c'est très intéressant. Tu notera qu'ils finissent ainsi:

"In my humble opinion we haven’t even identified all major DAC parameters responsible for -perceived- sound quality yet."

Cela date d'il y a trois ans. 

Ils ont progressé depuis. Attendons de voir...

Vu qu'ils m'avaient déjà dit que je pouvais les citer, voici ce qu'ils expliquent sur le "résultat" de leurs derniers développements, en faisant abstraction de tous les aspects techniques qui sont compliqués:

"Yesterday I finally completed a Ternary Thermometer hybrid prototype [...] I was very curious about the sound, this is perhaps world's first ternary thermometer hybrid DAC that is used for audio. I can say that the sound is totally different from the DACs I developed and listened to over the past decades. One word, it is pure. The "digital" sound signature is gone, it reminds of tape and vinyl. Sound is silky smooth, detailed and fast and never fatiguing. The sound stage is larger and deeper (depending on the recording of course).  I spent all day listening to it, and I was streaming through my iMac connected to a NAS. I use an XMOS-based USB to ElectroTos converter based on femto clocks, the novel ElectroTos interface and the modified PLL loop filter in the DAC."

A vérifier, mais je n'ai aucune raison de douter de leurs propos. Il y a tout une page d'explications techniques, auxquels je ne comprends rien
