Plus tôt dans l'année est sorti un coffret célébrant le 50ème anniversaire des Mothers of Invention dans la formation de 1971 (Mark Volman & Howard Kaylan (Flo & Eddie), Ian Underwood, Jeff Simmons et Aynsley Dunbar, Jim Pons, Bob Harris et Don Preston) avec les enregistrements complets des 4 concerts donnés au Fillmore East de New-York, y compris le rappel avec John Lennon et Yoko Ono ainsi que le concert intégral du Rainbow Theatre de Londres.
C’est lors de ce concert londonien que Frank Zappa fut éjecté de la scène, gravement blessé, la tournée avait dû être annulée.



Le coffret propose également de nombreux autres enregistrements live de 1971. 
L’ensemble des enregistrements a été remixé et remasterisé.

J’ai du mal avec la plupart des albums avant 74 , exception faite du grand wazoo , burnt weeny sandwich et hot rats. Pas assez électriques, trop bluesy/jazz, trop expérimentaux à mon goût,  Mais cela comblera certainement d’autres fans.
