Poland was undergoing a long transformation, under the care of the USSR we had many factories producing electronics of that time. Many of their ideas did not get the support of the ruling party and remained in the archives. After the collapse of the Soviet Union and later after the Russians left Poland, many of these factories began to gradually collapse because they was far behind EU. Before joining the European Union, practically most of them did not work. Many qualified engineers set up their small businesses and after joining the EU they did start to emerge outside Poland.
