McIntosh’s new $6,500 USD MTI100 Integrated Turntable rather smartly slides into a well-padded niche. Not only does it spin the big black discs, it brings their delicate electro-acoustic signal up to line-level via its built-in phono stage, it is a 12AX7 vacuum-tube preamplifier, it is a 50-Watt/8 Ohms Class-D power amplifier, A 24-bit/192kHz capable DAC (no DSD), along with both digital (coaxial, optical, Bluetooth 4.2) and RCA analog inputs as well as a headphone amplifier that is “optimized for virtually all headphone types.”
