Version complète : Multiple album art files... Why and which can I safely delete?

As I’ve been cleaning up my music files I’ve noticed most of the songs have their own folder. (I’m gonna call them track folders, forgive me if they already have a different name, I'm very new to this.)
Some have three files in them; one audio file and two jpg files. Of the latter one is a small picture of the album cover and one is a larger picture of the album cover.
However, most of the track folders have five files in them; one audio file and four jpg files. Two that are small pictures of the album cover and two that are large pictures of the album cover.
Two of the jpg files have simple names - “AlbumArtSmall” and “Folder”, the other two have names like “AlbumArt_{4BCB9BA6-4960-8BDC-2D5F6A691B5}_Large” and “AlbumArt_{4BCB9BA6-4960-8BDC-2D5F6A691B5}_Small”.
As best I can tell they are identical except for the name (same dimensions, same resolution, same size).

Why are there two of each with different names? Do I need to keep all four or can I delete the duplicates? And if I can delete them which are needed for devices to recognize them as album art to display when the track is played?
If it makes a difference the devices I use to play music from most often to least often are iPod Classic (don’t judge me, I like that it has actual buttons because almost anytime I listen to music other than in the car I’m wearing gloves), an SD card that plugs into my car, and an iPhone.)

Hi,
Just keep folder.jpg, it's the most recognized name for many apps, so you are sure to get at least one image.
The others could appear with specific apps which have different view layouts.
One remark concerning SD card in car, some systems requires to have the cover "tagged" to each songs to be able to display every album (I need this for the Audio20 in Mercedes).
